campus-bimCampus BIM is the overall compilation of many of the previously discussed BIM types. A campus model is constructed of buildings, building infrastructure and site infrastructure to create a comprehensive 3D model.

This is most useful in an institutional, corporate or health care complex where multiple buildings and their relation to one another with intertwined site infrastructure can be accessed and analyzed in a single model. This overall model can then be populated much like an FM BIM model with the addition of site information for catch basins, parking lots, and water lines.

Future planning and renovations can be conceptualized with much greater accuracy as to the potential impacts with a completed Campus BIM model.
