Westminster Senior Residences

Challenge

The Town of Westminster and the project team sought to deliver a 50-unit affordable housing community for older adults adjacent to the Town’s Senior Center. The project needed to balance site constraints, municipal standards, and affordability requirements while creating a layout that supported accessibility, safety, and resident well-being. 

In addition, the development required careful coordination to ensure that site design, access, utilities, and stormwater systems supported both the new residences and surrounding municipal uses, while navigating the local permitting and review process.

Solution

LandTech provided site planning and civil engineering services to support the development of Westminster Senior Residences. The team designed a site layout that integrated the residential buildings with the adjacent Senior Center and surrounding infrastructure, while meeting town subdivision, zoning, and accessibility requirements. 

LandTech also prepared grading, drainage, and stormwater management plans and coordinated utilities to support long-term operations. Throughout the process, the team supported permitting and municipal review, helping advance the project toward approval with a practical, compliant design.
