Concord Town House

Challenge

The Town of Concord initiated renovations and interior reconfiguration of the historic Concord Town House, an Italianate municipal building constructed in 1851 and located in the center of town. The project sought to modernize interior spaces to improve accessibility, efficiency, and public service delivery—while preserving the building’s historic character.

To support design and coordination, the TBA Architects required accurate, reliable existing-conditions documentation for this complex structure that had been modified repeatedly over more than 170 years. Existing drawings alone could not fully represent current conditions, building geometry, or system constraints needed for renovation planning.

Solution

LandTech provided 3D laser scanning and reality-capture services to document interior conditions at the Concord Town House. High-precision laser scanning captured detailed spatial data to support architectural planning and coordination.

Scan data was processed into an accurate 3D model, providing the design team with a dependable digital representation of existing conditions. The model supported interior reconfiguration planning, system coordination, and informed design decisions—reducing uncertainty while respecting the building’s historic fabric.
