LandTech was proud to join Pennichuck Water Works at the 2026 Esri User Conference as Pennichuck received its Esri Special Achievement in GIS Award.

The recognition celebrates Pennichuck’s innovative use of GIS and digital twin technology to support water utility operations. For LandTech, it was especially meaningful to see this work recognized on the Esri UC stage alongside Pennichuck’s team and Esri leadership.

Building a Digital Twin for Facility Operations

Pennichuck has taken a practical, phased approach to modernization. After strengthening its enterprise GIS, field workflows, and asset management systems, the utility turned its attention to a complex challenge: bringing critical facilities, including pump stations, booster stations, and treatment plant assets, into a more connected GIS environment.

LandTech partnered with Pennichuck to support this next phase through laser scanning, 3D modeling, GIS integration, and application configuration.

The project created detailed 3D digital twins of key water facilities and connected them to operational information such as asset data, inspections, sensor information, and work orders.

The result is more than a 3D model. Pennichuck staff can view facility assets in context, access related maintenance and inspection information, and better understand how systems connect inside complex operational environments.
